RRU Puducherry Students joins Nama Yuva Run on PM's 75th Birthday

The students of Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, actively participated in the NaMo Yuva Run - Run for a Nasha Mukt Bharat, a marathon organized to mark the occasion of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 75th Birthday.The event was held on 21st September 2025 at 6:00 a.m., starting from the Gandhi Statue, Beach Road, Puducherry.

The marathon, spanning approximately 5.8 kilometers, brought together youth, fitness enthusiasts, and citizens from across the region to raise awareness about the importance of building a healthy, addiction-free society. With the theme “Run for Drug-Free India”, the event served as both a fitness initiative and a social movement, inspiring participants to take a stand against substance abuse.Our university students proudly joined the run, showcasing their commitment to this noble cause. 



A special highlight was the remarkable performance of Ms. Uma Maheshwari, a Master’s student from RRU Puducherry Campus, who secured the 15th position and was among the first 100 finishers to be honored with a Finisher Medal. The other student participants also successfully completed the marathon and were awarded certificates of participation, in recognition of their dedication and team spirit.

The event not only celebrated the Prime Minister’s birthday through a meaningful national movement but also emphasized the role of youth in leading change, reinforcing the values of resilience, discipline, and community responsibility. For our students, participating in such initiatives is both a learning experience and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society.
