Tree Plantation Drive in Collaboration with Government Higher Secondary School, Sandhai Pudukuppam

The NSS Unit of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Puducherry Campus, organized a Tree Plantation Drive in collaboration with the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Sandhai Pudukuppam, on 11 March 2026, as part of its commitment towards environmental sustainability and community engagement.

The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting ecological awareness and encouraging students to actively participate in environmental conservation. The event witnessed the participation of the NSS Programme Officer, Ms. Sandra Sunil, NSS Core Volunteers, and the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Sandhai Pudukuppam.

During the programme, more than 25 saplings were planted within the RRU campus. The activity aimed to promote greenery, maintain ecological balance, and instill sustainable living values among students. The school students actively participated in planting and nurturing the saplings and showed great enthusiasm throughout the programme.

The Tree Plantation Drive had a meaningful impact by:

To raise public awareness, a vlog was recorded during the event, highlighting the importance of tree planting and the students' active involvement. The vlog aimed to encourage more people to take part in environmental protection activities.
