The NSS Unit of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Puducherry Campus, actively participated in an Organ Donation Awareness Rally held at Rock Beach, Puducherry, on 27 August 2026. The rally aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of organ donation and encourage people to consider organ donation as a noble act that can save lives.
The NSS volunteers participated enthusiastically in the rally, carrying awareness messages and supporting the campaign to educate the public about the significance of organ donation. Their involvement reflected a commitment to social responsibility, community service, and public awareness.
The rally provided an opportunity for the students to understand the importance of spreading awareness about organ donation and its potential to give hope to patients in need of life-saving transplants. It also encouraged the volunteers to contribute to meaningful social initiatives and promote a culture of compassion and humanity.
At the conclusion of the programme, food was provided to all participants. The event was a meaningful and informative experience for the NSS volunteers, reinforcing the values of service, empathy, and collective responsibility.
