An Interactive Session on Toastmasters and Youth Leadership Communication

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Puducherry Campus, in collaboration with Toastmasters, organised an interactive session titled “Introduction to Toastmasters and Youth Leadership Communication” on 16 October 2026. The session was conducted with the participation of 100 students and 10 faculty members.

The programme featured Mrs. Priya Ganesh, Chief Executive of BridgeGap International; Mr. Anuse, Area Director, Toastmasters; and Ms. Ramya, President of Toastmasters, SMVEC, who introduced participants to the Toastmasters platform and its role in developing communication and leadership skills.

The session highlighted the importance of effective communication, confident public speaking, presentation skills, and youth leadership. It familiarised students with the activities and opportunities offered by Toastmasters, encouraging them to express their ideas clearly, overcome hesitation, and build confidence in public speaking.

The interaction also emphasised the significance of interpersonal communication and leadership qualities in academic and professional life. Through this initiative, students gained an understanding of the value of developing communication competencies and leadership abilities essential for their future careers.
