On September 20th, 2024, the Puducherry Police proudly held the Passing-Out Parade for its 26th batch of Police Constables (PCs). This significant event saw 222 male and 67 female constables successfully completing their training.
As part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) and the Puducherry Police Department, 37 Reserve Police Constables (RPCs) were awarded diplomas in Police Administration and Investigation, while 249 others received certificates from RRU. The rigorous training program, designed by RRU, equipped these new officers with the essential skills and knowledge needed for modern policing. This comprehensive curriculum ensures that the constables are well-prepared to serve the community with competence and professionalism.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the recognition of top-performing constables, who were honored with certificates for their outstanding achievements throughout the training. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Anand Kumar Tirpati, Dean, Research & Publications Associate Professor, School of Criminal Law and Military Law (SCLML) RRU, who personally awarded the certificates, adding an extra layer of prestige to the occasion.
The Passing-Out Parade marked a pivotal moment in the careers of these constables, symbolizing the start of their journey in law enforcement with a strong educational foundation provided by RRU. It also highlighted the successful collaboration between RRU and the Puducherry Police, emphasizing their shared commitment to upskilling and preparing the next generation of police professionals.
