Orientation 2024 Batch

The Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) Puducherry campus recently held an orientation program for the new batch of students enrolled in various courses for the academic year. The event was designed to welcome students and give them a comprehensive overview of the campus, courses, and future prospects in their respective fields. 74 students have enrolled in various programs at RRU Puducherry campus for the academic year 2024-2025, with 43 students joining the BA/B.Sc in Criminology and Police Administration, 12 students in the PG Diploma in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, 6 students in the PG Diploma in Security and Corporate Intelligence Management, and 13 students in the MA/M.Sc in Criminology.

The orientation program kicked off with a warm welcome from the Campus Director, who congratulated the students for choosing RRU as their academic destination. He emphasized the university's commitment to producing future-ready professionals who can contribute significantly to national security and public safety.

The program was further enriched by the virtual presence of Professor (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Dr. Dharmeshkumar D. Prajapati, I/c Registrar, who joined online. Dr. Wandra highlighted the core values of RRU and its aim to offer a unique blend of academic rigor and practical exposure to students. Dr. Prajapati discussed the importance of discipline, hard work, and research in shaping the next generation of security professionals.

Following the welcome address, each section in charge took turns introducing their respective courses and explaining the portfolios.

The orientation concluded with a motivational note encouraging students to take full advantage of the resources available at RRU Puducherry. The students were reminded of the importance of a balanced academic life that includes classroom learning, practical experience, and personal growth through extracurricular activities.

This orientation set the tone for an exciting academic journey, ensuring that the students are well-prepared and aligned with the values of Rashtriya Raksha University.
