SCIM Field visit: Flipkart Field Visit

                         As part of the Post Graduate Diploma in Security and Corporate Intelligence Management program, our team had the opportunity to visit a Flipkart warehouse to understand its security aspects and supply chain security measures in detail. 

                     We were guided by Mr. Ashok Kumar, the Site Lead of the warehouse, who gave us a comprehensive tour and explained the various operations and security protocols in place. During the visit, we explored different stages of the warehouse workflow, including product receiving, packing, scanning, and loading processes. Additionally, we learned about the transport security measures implemented to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods and strategies to mitigate potential risks. A key highlight of the visit was our time at the warehouse's command center, where Mr. Ashok Kumar provided valuable insights into their operational workflows. He demonstrated the software used for CCTV monitoring and other security operations, helping us understand the technological infrastructure in depth. We also reviewed the registers maintained for security and safety purposes and inspected the fire extinguishers and related safety protocols. This visit was particularly valuable as it marked our first exposure to warehouse security operations. It offered an in-depth perspective on supply chain security functions in a real-world scenario. We concluded the visit with an interactive session with the warehouse officials, who generously shared their experiences and expertise. It was an enriching and informative experience for all of us.
