RRU Puducherry at the International Conference on Forensic Science and Criminology

              RRU Puducherry Campus, along with Mr. Midhun Chakravarthi, Research Officer, participated in the Two-Day International Conference on Paradigm Shifts in Forensic Science and Criminology, organized by the Department of Forensic Science and Criminology, Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science, Madurai. A total of 26 students took part in this event, engaging in meaningful discussions on forensic advancements and criminological studies.

Key Contributions by Faculty Members

We are proud to share that Dr. Karuna, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Nethaji Subash,   Assistant Professor chaired the parallel sessions and delivered impactful lectures as key speakers.

Dr. Karuna contributed to the plenary session with a lecture on "Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances: Trends, Patterns, and Challenges in India." Her session provided deep insights into the current narcotics landscape in India and the pressing challenges law enforcement faces in tackling drug-related crimes.

Mr. Nethaji Subash delivered a lecture on "The Future of Policing: Path Ahead in Creating a Safe and Just Society," sparking engaging discussions on the evolving role of law enforcement and strategies for building a safer and more just society.

             This international conference provided a valuable opportunity for students and faculty to interact with leading researchers, forensic experts, and criminologists. The discussions further reinforced RRU Puducherry’s commitment to excellence in forensic science and criminological research, ensuring that students remain at the forefront of academic and professional developments in these fields.
