In a significant step toward enhancing water safety and promoting skill development in aquatic environments, Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, in collaboration with Chakra Divers Pondy Pvt. Ltd., conducted a comprehensive Water Sports Training Programme in February 2025 for the watersports centre in the Puducherry region and the nearby area.
This training initiative was designed to build critical water sports and emergency response competencies. The curriculum focused on five core modules essential for safe and effective water-based operations:

Power Boat Handling

Life-Saving Techniques

First Aid, CPR & AED
A total of 31 participants successfully completed the training, gaining hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge under expert supervision.
To celebrate the successful culmination of this initiative, a certificate distribution ceremony was held on April 17, 2025, at the University Auditorium. The event witnessed the distribution of 90 certificates, recognizing the participants’ dedication and accomplishments.
The certificates were awarded by Mr. Pavan Soni, Deputy Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, who commended the participants for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to apply their skills to support water safety initiatives in the region.
This programme is a testament to RRU’s commitment to community engagement, professional training, and public safety, reinforcing its role as a pioneering institution in national security education.
