Alumina's Interactive Session - PGDCSDF

The interactive session conducted by one of our distinguished alumni from the PGDCSDF 2023-24 batch proved to be an engaging and insightful experience, especially for the students of the current PGDCSDF cohort. Serving as a true icebreaker, the session helped foster connection and curiosity among the attendees.

During her talk, she candidly shared her journey and experiences at Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus (RRUPY). She elaborated on the key learnings she gained from the institute, highlighting both technical knowledge and invaluable life lessons that helped shape her professional outlook. Her stories not only reflected the academic rigor but also the holistic development she underwent during her time at RRUPY.

She also offered a firsthand account of her current role and experiences at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), giving students a realistic picture of what it’s like to work in a multinational corporation. She emphasized the importance of soft skills in the corporate world, stating that communication, adaptability, and teamwork are just as essential as technical expertise in thriving within MNC environments.

Moreover, she provided valuable insights into the skill sets that multinational companies typically look for in prospective candidates. She stressed the advantage of acquiring proficiency in a wide range of digital forensic tools, alongside a solid understanding of programming languages like Shell Scripting and Python. These, she noted, not only enhance employability but also equip students to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges more effectively.

Her session was not only informative but also motivational, leaving the current batch with a clearer perspective on how to align their academic journey with industry expectations.
