Faculty Achievement : Dr. Abarna S, Assistant Professor publishes a Scopus-Indexed Paper in IEEE Xplore

We are proud to share that Dr. Abarna S, Assistant Professor at Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, has recently achieved a significant academic milestone by publishing a high-impact research paper.

Her paper titled "Dual-Stage Attention with Bi-LSTM and Adaptive XGBOOST for Robust Fake News Detection" was presented at the prestigious ATiGB 2025 -Applying New Technology in Green Buildings, the 10th International Conference in the ATiGB series, organized by the University of Technology and Education (UTE), Danang City, Vietnam on 25th and 26th July 2025.

This research addresses one of the most critical challenges in the digital age, detecting fake news effectively. By proposing an innovative dual-stage attention mechanism combined with Bi-directional LSTM and Adaptive XGBOOST algorithms, the study provides a robust solution to identify and classify misleading information circulating online. The approach focuses on improving the accuracy and reliability of fake news detection by leveraging advanced machine learning techniques.

Following its presentation at the international conference, the paper has now been officially published in IEEE Xplore, a Scopus-indexed platform, further underlining the research's quality and global recognition.

This remarkable achievement not only reflects Dr. Abarna’s dedication to advancing research in the field of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity but also inspires students and faculty members at Rashtriya Raksha University to pursue innovative research with a global impact. We congratulate Dr. Abarna for her contribution and continued commitment to academic excellence.
