Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence: RRU Puducherry Students attended CAPSI & APDI Security Leadership Summit 2025

Students from Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, along with campus director and faculty members from various batches and programmes, proudly participated in the 20 Years of Security Leadership Summit 2025 organized by CAPSI (Central Association of Private Security Industry) and APDI (Association of Private Detectives and Investigators) on 15th & 16th November, 2025 at the IITM Research Park, Chennai.

Their presence marked an important academic-industry engagemnet, giving young criminology and security students a great opportunity to witness national level deliberations. The summit celebrated two decades of excellence in India's private security and investigation industry, bringing together renowned security leaders, defence veterans, policymakers and young professionals from across the country. 

The summit began with a grand inaugral ceremony, followed by addresses from distinguished dignitaries including:

  • Shri C. V. Ganesan, Minister for Labour Welfare & Skill Development
  • Dr. T. R. B. Rajaa, Minister for Industries
  • Thiru T. M. Anbarasan, Minister for MSME
  • Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman, CAPSI & APDI
  • Sh. Vishwanath V. Katti, President, CAPSI
  • Sh. Nevil Rayan, President CAPSI, Tamil Nadu Chapter

Their inspiring speeches highlighted the significance of private security in national safety, employment generation and India's emerging role in global security service excellence.

Throughout the two days, students witnessed high-level sessions on the evolution of the Indian security industry, emerging cybersecurity threats, next-generation fire and life safety innovations, the impact of regional volatility on citizen security, and the growing importance of corporate intelligence in a rapidly changing world. The discussions on standardization, disaster preparedness, forensic challenges, the counterfeit economy, and drone-based security showcased the future landscape of the industry. A major highlight was the launch of the CAPSI Connect App and the signing of an MoU with DigiSuraksha, underscoring CAPSI’s commitment to digital transformation. 

RRU Puducherry students engaged actively with experts, IPS officers, and corporate security leaders, gaining valuable exposure to real world security operations, industry expectations, and emerging career opportunities. Their interaction with practitioners strengthened the university’s academic industry linkages, and students also received certificates of participation, acknowledging their involvement and enthusiasm during the closing ceremony. 

The event concluded with award presentations, felicitations of long-standing members, and reflections on CAPSI’s 20-year journey, setting a visionary direction for a future where private security continues to evolve through technology, training, and national collaboration.


With valuable learning, meaningful connections, and a vision for the future, the participation of RRU Puducherry marked a promising step toward preparing tomorrow’s guardians of national security.
