The Department of Criminology and Police Administration proudly presented the “Crime Prevention Exhibition 2025: Building a Safer Society – Translating Knowledge into Action”, organized by the students of BA Criminology and Police Administration (BACPA) III Year on 14th November 2025.
The event aimed to transform classroom knowledge into practical, community-oriented solutions, offering a platform for students to showcase their innovative approaches to crime prevention and security awareness. A wide range of thoughtfully designed displays highlighted student's understanding of criminological concepts, modern security technologies, and community safety practices. Their models reflected not only creativity but also the ability to analyze contemporary issues and propose workable, research-driven solutions.
The exhibition was further enriched by the esteemed presence of SP Selvam from the Puducherry Police, who served as the Special Guest. His encouragement and insights motivated students to continue exploring innovative ideas in criminology and reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts between academia and law enforcement. His interactions with the participants added depth and relevance to the event.
Among the standout displays were the Isometric Truck Scanner, Suicide Prevention Model, Bus Stand Crime Prevention Model, CPTED Smart Village, Industrial Security Setup, CPTED Method House, Bank Locker Security Demonstration, Smart Street Design replicating our University Road, and a Harbour Trafficking Prevention Display.
