On 21st December 2025, as part of the FIT INDIA Programme initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, students of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Puducherry Campus actively participated in a Cycle Rally organized under the guidance of the State NSS Cell. The event offered university students the opportunity to represent their institution and contribute to the national mission of promoting fitness and healthy living.
A team of 15 NSS volunteers participated in the rally, which commenced at 6:30 AM from the Gandhi Statue, Rock Beach, Puducherry. The rally covered a distance of approximately 2 kilometres and aimed to spread awareness about physical fitness, active lifestyles, and environmental sustainability through cycling. The volunteers participated with enthusiasm and discipline, reflecting the spirit of unity and commitment encouraged by the FIT India movement.
The cycle rally emphasized the importance of incorporating physical activity into daily life and highlighted cycling as an eco-friendly and effective form of exercise. All participating volunteers were provided with certificates and refreshments as a token of appreciation for their involvement. The event also reinforced the continued support of the State NSS Cell in encouraging youth participation in national-level programmes.
The successful participation of RRU NSS volunteers in the FIT India Cycle Rally demonstrated the university’s dedication to promoting health, fitness, and social responsibility among students, while strengthening their engagement in community-oriented initiatives.
