1st Year Celebration of Operation Sindoor: Inspiring Patriotism and National Responsibility at RRU Puducherry

Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, successfully organized the 1st Year Celebration of Operation Sindoor as a two-day Mass Awareness Programme on 7 and 8 May 2026. Conducted in accordance with Government directives, the programme aimed to create awareness among school and college students while fostering patriotism, unity, civic responsibility, and national commitment.

The programme witnessed the participation of more than 300 students and faculty members from schools, colleges, and the university, making it a significant outreach initiative. Interactive sessions encouraged participants to understand the importance of Operation Sindoor and their role in contributing to nation-building.

The programme was honoured by the presence of distinguished officers from the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The event was graced by Commander Abhay Singh, Commanding Officer, 1(P) Naval Unit NCC; Lt Cdr H. S. Sidhu, Executive Officer, 1(P) Naval Unit NCC; and Flt Lt Suraj, Administrative Officer, 1(P) Air Squadron NCC, as the Chief Guests. The programme was further enriched by the presence of CPO Deepak, Chief Instructor, 1(P) Naval Unit NCC; JWO G. Debnath, Training In-charge, 1(P) Air Squadron NCC; Sgt Jimnesh, SNCO In-charge – Flying Training, 1(P) Air Squadron NCC; and Cpl Abhishek, NCO In-charge – Training, 1(P) Air Squadron NCC, as distinguished guests. Their insightful interactions and inspiring messages motivated the participants to embrace discipline, leadership, patriotism, and a strong sense of national responsibility, making the event both informative and memorable.

The session also encouraged participants to uphold national values and develop a deeper sense of pride and commitment towards the country. The programme witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, making the session interactive and engaging. The audience responded positively to the awareness lecture and appreciated the initiative taken to conduct such a meaningful programme within the institution.
