International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrated at RRU Puducherry

Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, observed International Day of Yoga 2026 on 21 June 2026 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the Art and Craft Village Campus, Murungapakkam, Puducherry. The programme was organized by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Regional Centre, Puducherry, in collaboration with Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, and the Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (PIHMCT).

The event was conducted under the theme “Yoga for Harmony and Peace”, highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting physical health, mental well-being, emotional balance, and inner peace. The programme was graced by Mr. Sumith, IGNCA, and Mr. Gadi Jagannath, PIHMCT. The event was convened by the Campus Director, Puducherry Campus, and coordinated by Ms. Nithya P., Sports Training Officer, and Mr. Dhakshan Diwakar, Teaching-cum-Research Officer. The programme witnessed the active participation of 75 students, faculty members of the three institutions, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and staff members, reflecting a shared commitment towards healthy living and holistic well-being.

  • Promote emotional balance by reducing stress and anxiety.
  • Enhance self-awareness and understanding of one's true nature.
