Second SANGRAM 2026 – Annual Sports Meet

Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, successfully organized the Second SANGRAM 2026 – Annual Sports Meet under the guidance of the organizing team comprising Mr. Arsh G., Campus Director I/c, Mrs. Nithya P., Sports Training Officer, Ms. Sandra Sunil, TCRO, and Mr. Midhun Chakravarthi, Research Officer. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing the four houses: Bhagat Singh House, Chatrapati Shivaji House, Velu Nachiyar House, and Lakshmi Bai House. The sports meet served as a vibrant platform to promote physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and the spirit of healthy competition among students.

The event featured a wide range of competitions, including Indoor games, Team games, and Athletic events. Indoor competitions included Chess, Carroms, Table Tennis, and Badminton, while team events comprised Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Throwball, and Tug of War. Athletic competitions such as 100m, 200m, and 400m races, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Long Jump, and 4×100m Mixed Relay were also conducted. In addition, a Drill Competition and Fair Play evaluation were held as part of the sports meet, adding further spirit and discipline to the event.

    

After a series of energetic and closely contested competitions, the cumulative points scored by each house are as follows:

• Lakshmi Bai House – 528 points (Overall Champion) 
• Velu Nachiyar House – 521 points (Runner-up)
• Chatrapati Shivaji House – 482 points
• Bhagat Singh House – 298 points 
• Best Sportswoman Award: Ms. Swedha V, 2nd year BCPS
• Best Sportsman Award: Mr. Thulasi, 1st year MA/MSC
• Best Sportsmanship Award: Mr. Gokula Krishna, 2nd year MA/MSC

Although Bhagat Singh House finished fourth overall, the house displayed outstanding coordination, discipline, and teamwork, and was therefore honoured with the Best Drill Contingent Award for its remarkable performance in the Drill Competition. The Annual Sports Meet also recognized individual excellence and exemplary sporting values through special awards. 

The successful conduct of SANGRAM 2026 was made possible through the collective efforts of the university administration, faculty members, organizing committee, sports officials, NCC staff, volunteers, and participating students. The event concluded on a high note, celebrating not only sporting excellence but also the values of unity, perseverance, and integrity. SANGRAM 2026 thus stood as a memorable and inspiring chapter in the vibrant campus life of Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus.
