As part of RAKSHARAMBH ’26, the Orientation-cum-Induction Programme for the Academic Batch 2026–2027, RRU Puducherry Campus conducted Day 02: Academic Briefing, providing students with a comprehensive orientation on academic programmes, campus facilities, student welfare, discipline, professional development, and institutional guidelines on 11 September 2026. The programme began with a Welcome Address and Campus Presentation by Mr. Arsh G., Campus Director, followed by an overview of student and staff administration by Mr. Mahendran A., Admin Assistant Cum Coordinator, Student & Staff Administration.
The academic sessions covered the B.A./B.Sc. Criminology and Police Science programme by Ms. Nina Oviya, TCRO (Criminology); M.A./M.Sc. Criminology by Dr. Makesh Krishna, Assistant Professor (Criminology); PGDSCIM by Mr. Aswanth Murugan, TCRO (Corporate Security) and M.Sc. CS&DF Course Presentation and Examination Guidelines by Dr. Abarna, Associate Professor (CS/IT).
The briefing also addressed Student Grievance, Anti-Ragging Committee and Internal Complaints Committee by Mr. Nethaji Subash. I, Assistant Professor (Criminology), Student Discipline and Code of Conduct by Ms. Sandra Sunil, TCRO (Law), and Mr. Aswanth Murugan. Hostel Rules and Regulations by Mr. Mahendran A. and Ms. Sandra Sunil; and Attendance and Promotion Policy by Ms. Shilpa Aravindan, TCRO (Forensic Science).
Students were further introduced to the Learning Resource Centre by Ms. Royalemima, LIA, Internship Guidelines by Mr. Midhun Chakravarthi, RO, Placement by Mr. Aswanth Murugan, TCRO, and Data Privacy and Protection by Ms. Suriya P, TCRO (CS/IT).
The Sports and NCC by Ms. Nidhya P., STO, NSS by Mr. Diwakar B., TCRO (Police Administration), and Estate and Infrastructure Grievance Management by Mr. Ram Kumar, Junior Engineer (Civil), and Accounts Management by Mr. Rajesh N., AACA. The programme continued with sessions on Drill and Physical Fitness by Mr. Karthikeyan, Drill Instructor, and IT Resource Management by Mr. Sarath Kumar, IT Assistant.
The day concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Chandramouleswer, JRAA, marking a comprehensive and informative beginning to RAKSHARAMBH ’26.
