On August 15th, the RRU Puducherry campus celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride. The event commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony led by Thiru. Ilagovane, Director of the Adi Dravidar Welfare and Scheduled Tribes Department, Government of Puducherry. His presence marked the beginning of a day filled with patriotic fervor.
Following the flag hoisting, second-year students performed a remarkable march past, demonstrating their discipline and collective spirit. They honored the chief guest with their impressive display, reflecting their commitment to the values of independence. The students’ parade was a powerful representation of unity and pride, embodying the essence of the day.
After the parade, Thiru. Ilagovane addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of patriotism and the significance of India's independence. His speech inspired the students, reinforcing their understanding of the sacrifices made for freedom and the responsibilities that come with it.
