We are happy to share that our Campus Director Mr.Arsh G, has been appointed as a member of the Study Committee to review New Criminal Laws Puducherry
On September 19, 2024, the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Puducherry, issued an order to constitute a Study Committee to thoroughly review and analyze three new criminal laws introduced in India. The objective of this committee is to assess the legal framework, identify any existing gaps, and propose revisions to ensure that the laws are more victim-centric and aligned with modern criminal justice standards.
Key Members of the Study Committee The Study Committee is chaired by Thiru. Praveen Kumar Tripathi, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic), will act as the convener of the group.

The above Committee shall study the provisions of three new Criminal Laws, identify gaps, and suggest suitable additions (new sections, proviso to existing sections) deletions, modifications, etc. to make NCLs victim-centric and in tune with the modern criminal justice system.
The work of this committee is expected to have a significant impact on shaping future criminal laws in India, ensuring they are just, inclusive, and effective in addressing modern challenges.
