Fire Safety Training for Postgraduate Diploma Students at Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry

                    Postgraduate Diploma in Security and Corporate Intelligence Management students from Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, participated in an intensive fire safety training program. The training spanned three theoretical sessions at the Fire Station Office in Lawspet and a hands-on practical session at the Fire Station in Dhanvanthri Nagar, Puducherry. The program focused on handling fire safety equipment and responding effectively to disasters. which took place on 12-13,17-18 of March 2025

The theoretical sessions were conducted by Mr. R. Rithosh Chandra, Assistant Divisional Fire Officer, who has served in the fire safety department for nearly 25 years since joining in 2000. He shared his professional journey and provided valuable insights into the distinctions between crisis and disaster management, along with the roles of different departments in handling emergencies. Real-life crisis scenarios, such as infrastructure damage, gas leaks, and even handling honeybee infestations, were discussed during the training.

The practical session equipped students with hands-on experience in firefighting techniques, disaster response strategies, and emergency protocols. They learned about the latest advancements in fire safety equipment, the importance of quick response times, and the significance of interdepartmental coordination in managing fire emergencies and disasters.

This enriching experience enhanced students' understanding of fire safety, emergency preparedness, and crisis management, reinforcing their ability to respond effectively in real-world situations.
