Faculty Activity Highlight : Mrs.Surya,TCRO invited as a Resource Person at National Level Workshop on Cybersecurity Tools and their Practical Implications.

Mrs. P. Suriya, Teaching cum Research Officer (IT), Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus was invited as a Resource Person for the 2-Day National Level Workshop on Cybersecurity Tools which held on 18th and 19th September 2025 at Puducherry Technological University, jointly organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering and NOKIA, Chennai.

On Day 2, 19th September,2025, during the afternoon session 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM, Mrs. Suriya delivered an Expert Talk on the topic:

“From Threats to Clues - A Cybercrime Intelligence Journey”, offering students a comprehensive introduction to cybercrime intelligence and its investigative importance. 

The session was attended by 2nd Year, 3rd Year & Final Year CSE students and this session covered the fundamentals of Cybercrime Intelligence, practical insights into transforming threats into actionable clues, and live demonstrations of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools, along with hands-on exploration activities that kept participants engaged. 

                                                                      

Students from various colleges across the region actively participated in both offline and online modes, contributing to discussions and practical exercises that created an interactive and collaborative learning environment. Professors and participants appreciated the session for its practical depth and relevance, highlighting its role in bridging academic knowledge with applied cybersecurity skills. The talk not only enhanced student's technical understanding but also inspired them to explore future career paths in cybercrime investigation and digital forensics.
