SCIM Field Visit: IndEx 2025, Puducherry

Students of the PG Diploma in Security and Corporate Intelligence Management (PGDSCIM) had the opportunity to attend the IndEx Industrial Exhibition 2025, held at Suganya Convention Centre, Puducherry, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The event showcased a wide range of opportunities, technologies, and solutions available across indigenous industries in Puducherry.


Chairman of CII, Samir Kamra, highlighted the significance of the exhibition, stating, “The exhibition has become a strong platform for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) partnerships, positioning Puducherry as a preferred destination for industrial investments.”

During the visit, students interacted directly with entrepreneurs and representatives from various manufacturing sectors. They gained valuable insights into the capabilities of industries in auto components, pharmaceuticals, plastics, chemicals, packaging, renewable energy, aerospace, rubber, metal fabrication, cloud services, and IT solutions in Puducherry.


                                                           

In addition to understanding industrial operations, students analyzed the security aspects of the exhibition venue, observing the security measures implemented by the organizers to ensure a safe and smooth business meet. This hands-on exposure allowed students to relate theoretical knowledge to real-world security practices, enhancing their confidence, competence, and understanding of industrial and corporate security challenges.

The field visit served as an enriching learning experience, equipping students with the skills and insights necessary to excel in the domains of industrial safety and corporate security.
