On 15th September 2025, Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus had the privilege of hosting Mr. Ganesh T., Founder & CEO of UniqShift Ventures, who brings with him 19 years of corporate experience at Tata Consultancy Services, where he served as Regional Head - HR. His engaging sessions with students offered valuable insights into aligning academics with industry expectations and preparing for the dynamic future of work.
The day began with an introduction by Campus Director , who provided an overview of RRU’s growth and the progress of the PGDCSDF and PGDSCIM programs.
Forenoon Session with PGDCSDF & PGDSCIM Students:
In the first session, Mr. Ganesh spoke about the broad spectrum of opportunities in the cybersecurity industry, emphasizing that the field is not limited to “hacking.” He highlighted the rising demand for careers in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and suggested extending internships to eight weeks to provide deeper industry exposure.
He also appreciated the Travel Advisory research project by PGDSCIM students and encouraged participation in competitions such as TCS HackQuest.
During the interactive Q&A session, Mr. Ganesh shared practical career guidance with the students. He emphasized that corporate readiness is built on openness to learning and maintaining the right attitude. For those considering career transitions, he advised focusing on networking and obtaining relevant certifications. Employers, he noted, not only value skills but also seek integrity, honesty, and a positive mindset, along with the unique “T-Factor”, knowing something about everything, and everything about something. To excel in interviews, he recommended adopting the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to present experiences effectively.


Afternoon Session with Undergraduate & Other Programs:
The afternoon session was attended by students from Bachelors programme students. Mr. Ganesh addressed industry expectations such as innovation, disruption, and collaboration, illustrated with real-world examples like Uber and the Metaverse.
He also emphasized future workplace skills. Students were encouraged to set clear goals, adopt a growth mindset, maintain a responsible digital footprint, and take care of their mental well-being along with professional growth.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Surya (TCRO – IT), who expressed gratitude to Campus Director, Mr.Arsh, Mr. Ganesh, the faculty, and students for making the day impactful.Mr. Ganesh’s visit left students deeply inspired, motivating them to stay aligned with industry trends, sharpen their skills, and step forward into future challenges with confidence.
