The Puducherry Campus of Rashtriya Raksha University actively participated in the Fit India Sri Sathya Sai Run & Ride Marathon held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Puducherry. The event, conducted under the Fit India initiative and in the spirit of Sri Sathya Sai, promoted fitness, unity, and sportsmanship among participants.
The marathon commenced at 6:00 AM, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and members of the public. The event aimed to encourage physical fitness, healthy living, and community engagement, aligning with the national vision of building a healthier and stronger India.
A proud highlight was Mrs. Nidhya, STO referred and recognized as the Best Women Achiever – Pondicherry, along with the prestigious opportunity to carry the Olympic Torch. This moment marked a significant achievement and brought immense pride to the institution.
RRU students delivered outstanding performances in the marathon:
- Jeevika R secured 1st Place in the 3 km Run
- Monik Sanjay achieved 7th Place in the Run
- Agask secured 1st Place in the 10 km Run
Their remarkable achievements showcased the dedication, discipline, and physical excellence of RRU students.
The event concluded successfully, reinforcing the importance of fitness and active lifestyles. The achievements of the participants not only highlighted individual excellence but also reflected the university’s commitment to holistic development beyond academics.
