"Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect" Seminar Organized at Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus

The “Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect” seminar was successfully conducted on 18 February 2026 (Wednesday) from 02.00 PM to 04.00 PM at the Auditorium of Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry. The programme was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) RRU, Puducherry Campus, under the initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the State NSS Cell, Puducherry.


The seminar aimed to raise students' awareness of Viksit Bharat 2047's vision and highlight the vital role of youth in nation-building. It also sought to encourage leadership qualities, civic responsibility, and active participation in social and developmental initiatives. Additionally, the programme provided a meaningful platform for students to interact with a young achiever and gain inspiration to contribute towards national progress.

The programme commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a formal welcome address outlining the initiative's purpose and significance. The event featured 150 students, including students from BACPS I & II Year, the PG Diploma in Cyber Security, and the SCIM programme, and 4 faculty members.


The Chief Guest and Resource Person, Ms. Jayasree S, a Final Year B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship) student and State Champion – Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (2026) from Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking session. She shared her journey and emphasized the importance of leadership, civic engagement, innovation, and proactive participation in democratic and social processes. Her address strongly resonated with the students, encouraging them to envision themselves as active contributors to India’s developmental roadmap.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and raising insightful questions regarding youth leadership, policy participation, and avenues for community development. The students' enthusiasm and engagement reflected the programme's success in fostering awareness and responsibility.

The seminar significantly enhanced students’ understanding of Viksit Bharat 2047's vision and reinforced the importance of youth participation in national development. It strengthened leadership orientation and civic responsibility through meaningful interaction with a young achiever. Furthermore, it encouraged greater student involvement in NSS activities and in developmental initiatives aligned with nation-building goals. Overall, the programme had a meaningful academic and motivational impact, inspiring students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to national development
