Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, proudly inaugurated the 1(P) Naval Unit NCC on 16th October 2025, marking a significant milestone in the university’s journey toward fostering discipline, leadership, and national service among students.
The ceremony began with the arrival of students, faculty, and dignitaries, followed by the flag hoisting and national anthem, setting a patriotic tone for the event. The highlight of the morning was the parade by RRU Puducherry students, showcasing their dedication, coordination, and team spirit.
The ceremony also featured the opening of the NCC Board and NCC Room by the chief guests.The program commenced with Tamizh Thaai Vazhthu and the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and dignitaries, symbolizing the start of a new chapter for RRU Puducherry Campus. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Commander Abhay Singh, Commanding Officer, 1(P) Naval Unit NCC, Puducherry,whose inspiring address motivated the young cadets to embody the ideals of the National Cadet Corps. During his speech, he emphasized that unity and discipline are the true virtues of NCC, encouraging the cadets to carry these values forward in every sphere of life. His words served as a guiding light for the students to uphold commitment, integrity, and service to the nation.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Nidhya, Sports Training Officer, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, faculty members, and students for their collective efforts in making the event a success. The session ended with the National Anthem , marking a proud day in the history of RRU Puducherry Campus.
