Free Dental Checkup Camp Conducted at RRU Puducherry Campus

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Puducherry Campus, organized a Free Dental Checkup Camp for three days from  30 December 2025 to 02 January 2026 at the RRU Auditorium as part of its commitment to promoting health awareness and preventive healthcare among students and staff. The camp was conducted by Tmt. Dr. O. Kavipriya, Chief Dental Surgeon (NFSG) and State Nodal Officer – National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), with the support of Dr. Shilpa and other dental staff, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, RRU Puducherry Campus. 

      
  
The initiative aimed to create awareness about oral hygiene, encourage early detection of dental issues, and provide professional guidance on preventive dental care. Students, faculty members, and staff actively participated in the camp, benefiting from free dental screenings and expert consultations. 

Dr. O. Kavipriya interacted with the participants, highlighting the significance of regular dental checkups, proper oral hygiene, and their vital role in overall health and well-being. The NSS volunteers played a key role in efficiently coordinating the programme, ensuring smooth organization and active participation. Through professional dental screening, expert guidance, and enthusiastic involvement of students, faculty, and staff, the programme successfully reinforced the importance of maintaining good oral health.

The three-day Free Dental Checkup Camp at Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, was a successful and impactful initiative that strengthened health awareness and preventive care among the university community.  The collaborative efforts of the dental team and NSS volunteers ensured smooth execution and wide outreach, making the camp both informative and beneficial. Overall, the initiative reaffirmed RRU’s commitment to holistic development, community welfare, and promoting a culture of health consciousness within the campus.
