CISF Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon- 2026

On 15 February 2026, the NCC cadets of Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus, under the aegis of the 1 (P) Naval Unit NCC, actively participated in the CISF Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon 2026. The event was organized as part of a nationwide initiative promoting patriotism, physical fitness, and national security awareness.

The cyclothon was conducted under the inspiring motto: “Vande Mataram – Fit India, Secure India.” The primary objective of the event was to:

  • Promote physical fitness among youth under the Fit India movement.
  • Instill patriotic values and national pride.
  • Strengthen awareness about national security and the role of security forces.
  • Encourage active youth participation in nation-building initiatives.

A total of 16 NCC cadets from the RRU NCC Naval Unit participated in the cyclothon. The cadets participated under the guidance of Mrs. Nidhya, CTO, RRU Puducherry. The event was conducted in coordination with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The coastal cyclothon witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, security personnel, and youth volunteers. The event emphasized:

  • Coastal vigilance and awareness.
  • Physical endurance and discipline.
  • Unity and collective responsibility toward national security.
  • Enhanced Physical Fitness and Team Spirit: The event strengthened endurance, discipline, and camaraderie among cadets.

The cadets demonstrated exemplary energy, teamwork, and discipline throughout the event, reflecting the core values of the NCC and the institutional vision of Rashtriya Raksha University as an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India

The participating cadets expressed that the cyclothon was both physically challenging and deeply motivating. The interaction with CISF personnel provided valuable insights into the role of paramilitary forces in safeguarding national assets and coastal regions.
