Faculty Publication Highlight: Mrs. Abarna's Research on Cyberbullying Detection

We are proud to announce that Mrs. Abarna, Assistant Professor in IT/Cybersecurity at RRU Puducherry, has recently presented her research at the 5th International Conference on Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics (ICDLAIR) organized by the Department of Computer Engineering at the  NIT Kurukshetra. Her paper, titled "An Ensemble Learning Model for Automatic Detection of Cyberbullying on Instagram Platform," provides an innovative approach to combatting cyberbullying through advanced AI models. The article about the rise of social media has led to increased online abuse, harassment, cyber-bullying, cybercrime, and trolling. Cyberbullying causes emotional and physical pain, especially among women and children, and can lead to suicide attempts. This research aims to develop a strategy for detecting cyber harassment and bullying comments using Machine Learning algorithms. The Ensemble-based learning model, which includes SVM, Naive Bayes, and Random Forest, will be evaluated for performance metrics.
