Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Puducherry Campus, had the distinguished honor of hosting the final leg of the “All India Awareness Ride – Cybersecurity for Women and Children”, a nationwide initiative spearheaded by Mr. Sankarraj Subramanian, Founder & CEO of Prompt Infotech, accompanied by Mr. Dinesh.
The event was graced by Dr. Bascarrane, PPS, currently serving as the Superintendent of Police – Cyber/Wireless/WIM, Puducherry, whose presence underscored the critical importance of promoting cybersecurity awareness at the grassroots level. The program was meticulously organized by the Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics (PGDCSDF) 2024–25 batch, whose professionalism and commitment ensured the event’s seamless execution.
This pan-India awareness campaign was conducted in association with the Coimbatore City Police, Cybercrime Police, Puducherry, and the National Cyber Security Research Council (NCSRC), with Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus serving as the exclusive educational partner for this meaningful initiative.
Throughout the session, students and faculty had the opportunity to interact directly with Mr. Sankarraj, gaining insights into his remarkable journey and unwavering dedication to spreading cybersecurity awareness across the country. His inspiring narrative sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among students, especially regarding the growing need to protect vulnerable groups—particularly women and children—in the digital space.
The interactive session enabled students to engage in thoughtful discussions about real-world cyber threats, career pathways in cybersecurity, and the academic and professional competencies required to succeed in the field.
A key highlight of the event was a visual presentation of the awareness ride’s national journey, mapped across 28 states and 6 union territories, covering an astounding 17,000 kilometers. This powerful illustration symbolized a unified national commitment to promoting cyber hygiene and digital literacy.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. P. Surya, Teaching-cum-Research Officer, RRU Puducherry Campus, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the dignitaries, guests, organizers, and enthusiastic participants. She emphasized the need for ongoing collaboration to strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem through education, research, and community engagement.
