RRU-PY NSS volunteer's Participation at 77th Republic Day Celebration Camp (RDC), New Delhi

From Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Puducherry Campus, five National Service Scheme (NSS) student volunteers had the prestigious opportunity to represent the Puducherry Union Territory at the 77th Republic Day Celebration Camp (RDC) held in New Delhi.

The volunteers departed for New Delhi on 11th January 2026 and returned on 5th February 2026, marking a nearly four-week enriching and transformative period. The participation provided the students with valuable national-level exposure, cultural interaction, and opportunities for civic engagement. During the Republic Day Camp, the NSS volunteers actively engaged in various activities organized as part of the national celebrations. 


Key highlights include:

  • Participation in cultural performances alongside the Puducherry Republic Day Parade Team, representing the cultural richness and unity in diversity of the Union Territory.
  • Showcasing discipline, teamwork, patriotism, and the spirit of national integration through their performances.
  • Engaging in interactions and collaborative activities with NSS volunteers from different states and union territories across India.
Following the Republic Day Parade, the participants were honoured with an exclusive meet-and-greet interaction with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and the Hon’ble President of India. This rare opportunity served as a moment of immense pride and inspiration for the students, strengthening their commitment to national service and responsible citizenship. A special highlight of the camp was a distinguished cultural performance by Ms. Soundarya A., NSS Volunteer from BACPS I, at the President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhavan). This exclusive performance brought notable recognition to the student, the University, and the Puducherry NSS contingent.

The participation of the NSS volunteers resulted in:
