RAKSHARAMBH ’26, the Orientation-Cum-Induction Programme for the Academic Batch 2026–2027, continued with Day 04, featuring engaging sessions focused on corporate security and professional skill development.
The first session, “Inside Corporate Security: Roles, Risks and Career Opportunities,” was led by Mr. Dinesh Elangovan, Founder, CEPTED, India, from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM. The session introduced students to the roles and responsibilities within corporate security, the risks involved, and the career opportunities available in the field. The session provided students with insights into the corporate security sector and its various professional dimensions. The speaker discussed Security Engineering, Security Operations, and the roles and responsibilities involved in Executive Management and Private Security. He also highlighted the role of Media and Corporate Security, giving students an understanding of the different areas and career pathways within the corporate security domain.
Session II & III, titled “Breaking the Ice, Building the Skills: Connecting, Communicating & Growing,” was conducted from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM and 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM by Ms. Priya, Soft Skill Trainer. The session focused on developing interpersonal skills, effective communication, building connections, and personal growth. The interactive session further encouraged students to strengthen their communication and interpersonal abilities as part of their academic and professional development.The session focused on developing students’ academic, research, and professional skills through activities and guidance on group discussions, article writing, dissertation preparation, internships, research papers, and online training. The speaker highlighted the importance of actively participating in group discussions, developing effective writing skills, and gaining practical exposure through internships. Students were also introduced to the significance of preparing research papers and dissertations and making use of online training opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills.
The session encouraged students to actively engage in academic and professional activities, helping them build confidence, improve communication, strengthen research abilities, and prepare themselves for future career opportunities. Day 04 provided students with valuable exposure to corporate security, career opportunities, communication, interpersonal skills, and personal growth, contributing to their overall orientation and professional preparedness.
