The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and honour at the RRU, Puducherry Campus, marking a significant occassion in the nation's history. The occasion was graced by esteemed presence of Lt.Col. Imon Samanta (Training Officer, NCC Group Headquarters, Puducherry), as a Chief Guest of the Day. The event was also graced by Mr.Bappa Kundu, Principal I/c, Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Managemnet & Catering Technology, Puducherry.
One of the highlights of the event was the march-past by students, who showcased perfect coordination and discipline while presenting a respectful parade salute to Lt.Col. Imon Samanta Sir. In his inspiring address, the Chief Guest, Lt. Col. Samanta, emphasized the true essence of the day. He spoke about the significance of Independence Day and connected it with the core values of democracy, equality, and justice enshrined in the Constitution of India. His words motivated the students to uphold their duties and responsibilities as citizens and to actively contribute to nation-building.
