Faculty Activity Highlight : Dr. Abarna S, Assistant Professor invited as a Resource Person at National Level Workshop on Recent Advancements in Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. S. Abarna, Assistant Professor, Rashtriya Raksha University ,Puducherry Campus, was invited as a Resource Person at the Two Days National Level Workshop on Recent Advancements in Artificial Intelligence held on 08th and 09th August 2025 at SIMATS Engineering, Chennai. The event was sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.



On Day 1, 8th August 2025, during the forenoon session 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Dr. Abarna delivered an insightful lecture on the topic:

"AI-Driven Cybersecurity: Advancing Threat Detection and Defense Mechanisms – Hands-on Disk Drill Tool"

The session was attended by 90+ participants, including faculty members, research scholars, and students. Dr. Abarna demonstrated how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionising the cybersecurity landscape, particularly in proactive threat detection and effective defence strategies. The session included a hands-on segment using the Disk Drill tool, enabling participants to gain practical experience in AI-powered data recovery and security applications.

Her talk emphasised the importance of integrating AI with cybersecurity to address evolving digital threats, underlining how academic expertise and industry practices can merge to produce innovative solutions. Participants praised the session for its clarity, interactivity, and real-world relevance.

With active participation, thought-provoking discussions, and an exchange of innovative ideas, this expert lecture set a high standard for the rest of the workshop, leaving participants motivated to explore and innovate in the AI space.
