Interactive Session with Alumni: PGDSCIM

The Department of PGDSCIM, RRU Puducherry Campus, organized two interactive sessions on 15th and 16th April 2026 to enhance students’ understanding of career development, industry expectations, and professional transitions. These sessions provided a valuable platform for students to engage with experienced professionals and alumni, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world practice.

The first session, held on 15th April 2026, featured alumnus Mr. Vignesh A., Physical Security Officer at L&T Data Center. He shared his career journey and discussed the challenges faced while transitioning from student life to the professional environment. Through an interactive question-and-answer session, students gained insights into workplace expectations, handling pressure, developing practical skills, and maintaining effective communication. His relatable experiences helped students better understand the realities of professional life.

The interactive session with alumni Mr. Vignesh A. served as a valuable platform for students to gain practical insights into professional life and the transition from academics to the workplace. His honest sharing of experiences and challenges provided a realistic understanding of industry expectations. The session highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and effective communication in building a successful career.

The second session, conducted online on 16th April 2026, featured Ms. Jahnavi M.D., Investigative Analyst, who focused on career transitions and the importance of continuous skill development. The session was highly interactive, allowing students to raise questions on career planning, adaptability, and industry demands. She emphasized the need for continuous learning, self-awareness, and a proactive approach to career growth.
