RRU- Puducherry Campus Honoured as Best Volunteer Institution Award

On 16th December 2025,  RRU- Puducherry Campus, has been proudly conferred the Best Volunteer Institution Award by the District Collector, Government of Puducherry, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in the Ariyankuppam and Manavely Assembly Constituencies.

This prestigious recognition stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment, discipline, and civic responsibility demonstrated by RRU’s NSS student volunteers, who played a commendable role in the successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in the Ariyankuppam and Manavely Assembly Constituencies. The NSS student volunteers of RRU actively contributed at every stage of the revision process, from training and enumeration to digitisation and elector mapping. From undergoing systematic training sessions to actively engaging in voter enrollment drives, form digitization, and electoral roll mapping, the volunteers demonstrated remarkable technical competence and dedication to strengthening the democratic process.

The success of this initiative was further reinforced by the strong institutional support provided by RRU and the highly effective BLO–Student Volunteer coordination model, which emerged as a benchmark for meaningful youth participation in electoral administration. The seamless collaboration ensured accuracy, efficiency, and transparency at every stage of the revision process. In recognition of its outstanding service and exemplary public contribution, RRU is truly deserving of the “Best Volunteer Institution” award.
